PLAKINGER interview in Haarper`s`S Bazar magazine China by Stacy Fan.
"When I first came across PLAKINGER'S designs I was instantly a fan. Their collection is so feminine in silhouette but with elements of traditional men’s tailoring making the cut and structure of each piece elegant and effortlessly beautiful at the same time. In short, true perfection.
When I found out the company was founded by a mother and daughter duo, Svetlana Ziggel and her mother Galina Plakinge, I realized the reason for the perfect combination and balance within their designs..:"

"Feminine Classics" article about PLAKINGER in JUTE magazine USA by Stefania Pruscino.
"PLAKINGER is a fashion label with collections that are a vibrant mix of modern and unpretentious, luxurious fashion. All of PLAKINGER clothing is produced in exceptionally limited quantities and handmade in Germany with the highest quality fabrics. Actually PLAKINGER is using the same fabric as Dior, so the caliber of their clothes is nothing short of perfection. These days the brand is expanding with high-end ready to wear.
PLAKINGER`s silhouettes, cuts and detailing bring together classic feminine styles combined with traditional men's tailoring - while making sure to keep the garment ever flattering to a woman's physique..."
PLAKINGER "Decadent Days & Nights" article OHLALA magazine.
"There is something gloriously vintage about shooting a cookbook in a hotel. It's glamorous, dramatic and hauntingly beautiful. The Shanghai Waldorf Astoria stars alongside PLAKINGER`s collection where the lavish suites match the strikingly elegant dresses while the hotel`s rich history chimes with the 1970s vibe of the collection. From the glossy Sicilian marble floors to the retro furniture to the chic fireplace, the romance of the collection shines through."
"This collection was inspired by Jerry Hall and her love story with Mick Jagger. The Waldorf symbolises this sense of grandeur, the luxury and extravagance displayed by rock stars in the 1970s. Our collection is the tribute to the splendid vibes and glamour of this iconic and well documented relationship."
"We liked the hotel`s tasteful elegance. From our graphic red pieces to our metallic dresses, we wanted to play with the contrast between minimalist androgynous style and formal cosmopolitan elegance. It was easy for our collection to blend in with these sumptuous surroundings because of how they sublimated our silhouettes."

PLAKINGER interview "Like Mother Like Daughter" with OhLaLa magazine.
"How many times have you heard the phrase: "I'm my mother`s daughter"? Chances are you've heard it many times. But PLAKINGER has taken that to a whole new meaning and into the fashion industry: Galina Plakinger and Svetlana Ziggel talk about the challenges of co-creating a family brand and who's got the better sense of style.
What is it like working in a family business, especially when it`s a mother/daughter relationship?
Svetlana Ziggel: There is a lot of strength and power in a mother/daughter relationship to capitalise on and we are trying to take advantage of that as much as we can. My mother and I always had a close relationship and that respect helps us to fin lots of common ground whenever we have a discussion, which we have plenty of.
Galina Plakinger: It is a dream constellation for me as I can be close to my daughter and her kids while working and her business trips gives me the opportunity to pamper my grandchildren. The great thing about PLAKINGER is that we can run it as a family business; it is not about me or Svetlana, but about building something that will last for longer.
How did the company came about? How did you decide to set it up?
GP: The idea of starting PLAKINGER evolved from my work as a bespoke tailor. Bespoke suits for men with their classic cuts are icons of timeless fashion. The level of work that is dedicated to details goes far beyond the quality of pret-a-porter collections. It was my intention to contribute these aspects and to create timeless, high quality clothing for women..."
